Inland Empire Branch covers San Bernardino and Riverside Counties with a collective population of over 4.3 million people and over 1.3 million households. Implementing green building practices is crucial to the IE’s future environmental sustainability, economic success, and quality of life. A unique focus of the branch is on the positive impacts that green building can have on public health.

Taylor York is an Associate in Kearns & West’s strategic communications practice. Much of his work is focused in the community and regional planning field, including energy, air quality, transportation, conservation, and education programs, and he works in both local government and private industry settings. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Rick is the Vice President, Management Services at Bernards, a leading building and construction management firm. He is based in the Inland Empire Office and has over 16 years of local construction experience. In his current position Rick is responsible for business development and pre-construction management for the region.

Jon is a Project Manager at RC Construction and serves as Treasurer for the Inland Empire Chapter. Jon is a LEED Accredited Professional. R.C.Constuction Services has been helping public and private sector clients build and renovate schools, libraries, police and fire stations, civic
centers, offices and industrial facilities throughout Southern California since 1994.

Eera has been a USGBC Inland Empire branch steering committee member for four years, and co-chair for the past 2 years. In her role, she has facilitated sustainability workshops for schools, organized Earth Week events, held Green Teacher Credential Training sessions, assisted with the World Water Day symposium and coordinated a
Green Lecture series.
Sustainability with the City of Rancho Cucamonga
Deborah joined the City of Rancho Cucamonga in January 2014 as a Management Aide-Sustainability in the City Manager’s Office. She has worked in the local government sector for eighteen years in the field of municipal waste management and energy efficiency. Prior to joining the Rancho Cucamonga, she worked for the City of Redlands as a Senior Administrative Analyst, the City of San Bernardino as an Environmental Programs Manager and the City of Ontario as a Senior Environmental Technician.

Becky has conducted watershed science research and developed project-based watershed education programming and curriculum for K-12 schools. She is passionate about getting community members outside to explore their watersheds, and to giving students a voice in the conservation conversation.
Riverside Public Utilities
Principal Account Manager
Andrew Markis serves as a Principal Account Manager for Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) and the Sustainability Officer for the City of Riverside. In his roles, Andrew manages utility energy and water efficiency programs and services for customers as well as is responsible for the citywide implementation of the Green Action Plan that encompasses 19 goals transforming the city into an innovative and sustainable urban center.
Project Manager and Director of Sustainability
Alma M. Wagner is a Project Manager with Bernards who is also leading its Sustainability Department. She offers over 20 years of experience in Construction Management and in Sustainability; a perfect combination. Her role with the company is to continue supporting Bernards Green Strategies as well as to provide
employees with the necessary training and assistance with their education in the green building industry.
