USGBC-LA Call For Interns

The US Green Building Council’s LA Chapter is developing a program to promote resilience at the building scale, called Building Resilience-LA. Building Resilience-LA will bring together processes and strategies from green building, social equity, public health and emergency planning to help organizations and their communities prepare for disasters in ways that make life better today. We are seeking interns to work on a range of projects related to water, energy, buildings, food, communication, transportation and natural systems. Interns will have the opportunity to participate directly in the design of the program, and to interact with a diverse set of leading resilience experts on our Steering Committee.

At a minimum, candidates must have successfully completed course work in a related discipline (such as building sciences, planning, public policy, public health, emergency management, environmental science, economics, etc.). Candidate must have strong research, writing and communication skills, and be able to execute a research project independently. Project management experience desired. Passion for sustainability, resilience and social equity is essential.

Compensation: Unpaid internship with possibility of course credit
