LEED - H Committee Q2 Meeting:
For this July morning meeting we will have two great speakers to present on the benefits and technology of Greywater systems with examples of implementation in housing projects and other building types. Discussion will also touch on greywater regulations in various jurisdictions.
Meet our Speakers:
Tim Shippen, Technical Sales Manager with Weil Aquatronics (Glendale CA), has over 20 yearsâ experience working in the mechanical piping and plumbing industry with a primary focus on business development. Tim received his 4 year Technical Certificate from United Association of Southern California. Established in 1962, Weil Aquatronics offers a wide variety of engineered products, ranging from chemical-free water treatment systems, emergency water systems, pumps and hydronic equipment, with an emphasis on client service. http://www.weilaquatronics.com
Pete A. MuÃ±oz, PE, LEED AP Senior Engineer / Cascadia Bioregion Team Leader with Biohabitats. Pete is a seasoned engineer who has focused the bulk of his career on the development of sustainable water infrastructure. Water conservation, water reuse, and workable landscapes (edible and regenerative) are guiding factors in Mr. MuÃ±ozâ practice. His work connects community with infrastructure by integrating it into our landscape, food systems and recreational areas. Mr. MuÃ±oz has supervised or participated in a wide range of sustainability projects, including SITES, LEED and Living Building Challenge (LBC) Projects. Mr. MuÃ±oz received the Living Building Hero award from International Living Future Institute (ILFI) in 2017.
