Inspired by the original 2016 Greenbuild Los Angeles Legacy Project, the U.S. Green Building Council of Los Angeles (USGBC-LA) launched its Legacy Project initiative to support the escalation of sustainable built environments for all communities in Southern California.
USGBC-LAâs Legacy Project initiative is designed to be a means of service and education that enhances our communities and offers perpetual gains. Projects are required to be community based and supported, and grounded in environmental sustainability.
The 2019 Legacy Project award is focused on Resilience.
* Resilience is the capacity of individuals, organizations and communities to adapt to changing conditions and to maintain or regain functionality and vitality in the face of disasters or disturbances.
