Please join us as we explore the design possibilities for our 2021 Legacy Project, the Boyle Heights Resiliency Center. Part of the Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory, the Resiliency Center aims to serve as a resource hub for community members in need. The Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory is a well-loved and respected institution, serving as a cultural center for local residents since its opening in 2011. In a neighborhood historically excluded from Los Angeles’ vibrant art scene, the Conservatory upholds a vision of accessibility and diversity within the realm of visual arts, film, and media. In partnership with USGBC-LA, the Conservatory team is now working to diversify its services even further, to help meet the needs of a population facing increasing risks as a result of climate change. With plans featuring solar power, water storage, battery backup and more, the Hub aims to provide emergency training, communication services, and resources in a conveniently accessible and well-trusted location. Help the project team to bring their vision to life!
