More on California Advocacy Day
State Advocacy Day is USGBC-Los Angeles’ annual coordinated advocacy outreach to California state legislators and lawmakers. Alongside an engaged coalition, our goal is to expand California Green Building Advocacy dialogue with legislators and with each other to gain momentum during this legislative session. USGBC Chapter members, partner organizations, and other supporters are invited to join us in discussions with our legislators on green building and sustainable development related issues. You can find out more about our Advocacy priorities HERE.
No experience with advocacy or policy is needed! We’ll provide talking points, and you will be teamed with others for meetings. Here is an opportunity for you to meet with your representatives to express any concerns, share expertise & lived experiences, and show support for proposed legislation on key sustainability topics.
We welcome participants from all over the state, though space will be limited. A summary of the schedule will be provided to CA Advocacy Day participants and the ‘run of show’ will be discussed in this session.
Questions? Can’t make it but still want to show support? We welcome your letters of support to State Representatives. Please contact Robyn Eason, Senior Advisor Policy + Advocacy for USGBC-Los Angeles at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how.
